On behalf of a hospital in Western Norway, we are seeking a gastrointestinal radiologist to join a busy, inclusive radiology department focused on continuous advancement and high-quality care.
The radiology department is a vibrant workplace with over 200 professionals, including 60 physicians, 120 radiographers and 35 support staff, covering multiple specialties such as lung disease, oncology, cardiology and gastroenterology. Equipped with modern technology, the department is committed to excellence in interventional and diagnostic radiology, with strong emphasis on professional expertise, research and education. Opportunities are available for advanced research, including PhD and postdoctoral studies, particularly in advanced imaging and artificial intelligence applications.
Responsibilities:
As a gastrointestinal radiologist, your role will include responsibility for the continued development of the GI radiology section. This involves protocol management, patient care prioritization and acting as a key contact for clinical departments and radiology networks in the region. Additional responsibilities include training and mentoring resident doctors, overseeing operational planning within the section, and performing clinical radiology tasks, including participation in the on-call rotation.
Qualifications:
- European authorization as a medical professional.
- European certification as a radiologist with a subspecialty focused on imaging disorders of the digestive tract.
- Proficiency in English and a willingness to learn Norwegian (complimentary language course provided).
- Clean criminal record, with documentation according to the Health Personnel Act.
