We are currently looking for a talented and dedicated psychiatrist to join the team at Indre Sogn Psychiatric Center in Sogndal, Norway.
The District Psychiatric Center (DPS) plays a vital role as an independent unit within the regional hospital’s specialist mental healthcare service, delivering comprehensive services such as day treatment, inpatient care, outpatient services and emergency care.
Responsibilities:
This position entails permanent day care duties at the ward with the following responsibilities:
- Conducting diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and facilitating patient discharge.
- Assessing, diagnosing, and treating various mental disorders.
- Providing individualized patient follow-up care.
- Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams and liaising with municipal healthcare services.
- Participating in admissions meetings and evaluating referrals.
- Documenting patient information, performing medical assessments, and conducting psychiatric examinations and follow-ups.
- Engaging in professional and clinical meetings with fellow therapists and nurses.
- Providing supervision to specialized doctors within the team.
Qualifications:
- Professionally updated
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- European authorization as a medical doctor and European specialist approval as a psychiatrist are required. Assistance in obtaining Norwegian authorization and specialist approval will be provided by Dignus Medical.
- Well functional, spoken and written level in a Scandinavian language. Dignus Medical offers online language course free of payment.
