The microbiology section is responsible for microbiological diagnostics for both hospitals in North-Trøndelag. The hospital, located centrally in Levanger, provides fantastic recreational opportunities year-round.
Levanger boasts good public transportation, situated approximately 45 km from Trondheim Airport, Værnes.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide medical expertise in various areas of microbiological diagnostics.
- Participate in regional and national professional networks.
- Contribute to the development of medical microbiology in North-Trøndelag through interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Attend internal and external meetings on strategy and professional assessments.
- Train, guide, and provide internal education to biomedical scientists and medical residents.
- Emphasize research and development.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, reporting procedures, resistance monitoring, and antibiotic use.
Qualifications:
- Specialist in medical microbiology.
- Medical license and specialist approval from an EU country.
- Professionally updated.
- Strong data skills.
- Good communication skills in English, and motivated to learn Norwegian
